A world where memories, dreams, and stories all flow into one another. In her film ‘Wandelende Tak’ (Walking Branch), Robin Janmaat takes you into a world full of wonder, a place where fiction merges into fantasy. The images tell a story in which a traveler wanders through various landscapes and encounters all kinds of extraordinary creatures. Together with her, we go on a journey of discovery and arrive at a collection of objects, such as buttons, a key, and gloves.

The Stories of Playing Cards Symbols
Four symbols with each their own meanings and personal associations. Six people were asked what their favorite symbol is and why. While they tell their answer, the film shows how Robin Janmaat paints her face with a combination of the stories and her own associations. Slowly the answers reveal how the symbols are connected with nature and the world around us.
A Slight Modification
Follow along as a teacup and a desk lamp travel trough various stereotypical film scenes, where both of them takes on a different role each time. Along the route they take on different roles in relation to each other and play in sets with painted backgrounds and props.
